Homemade Granola

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup oat bran
  • handful of crushed almonds and walnuts
  • 2 T almond butter
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • 1 T honey
  • sprinkle of water
  • tsp of canola oil
I melted the almond butter, maple syrup, honey, water and a teaspoon of oil in a saucepan and then poured it all into the dry ingredients. Then I spread it out into a pan, pressed it down and baked it at 300 degrees for about 45 minutes total. Every 20 minutes or so I mixed it up and pressed it again. After it was done cooking I added some raisins as well.
It didn't yield very much, which was ok because I was a bit unsure how tasty it would be. I had a small amount in a bowl with some soymilk (unpictured) after it cooled to make sure it was done and it came out great.
