Grazing? What's that?

Good morning! I'm currently out shopping for as many Christmas presents as possible today. I typed this post up last night for your enjoyment since my Saturday schedule is pretty jam-packed.
.
Friday's breakfast was a recreation of my almond butter and banana "quesadilla." I think I may have a new obsession. I let the tortilla get extra crispy this time too.
One word - WOW. Eaten quickly alongside some coffee with vanilla soy milk.
No mid-morning snack, I get to sleep in on Fridays so instead of eating breakfast at 6, I get to wait until 8:30.
.
However, at 1:00 I was more than ready for lunch. I packed some leftover baked salmon & the last of my cottage cheese. With an apple and bell pepper on the side for crunch.
I had originally brought some yogurt and a Z-bar for my afternoon snack but we were so busy (this is our busiest time of year) at work that I didn't have a chance to even think about food. Now that's saying something. I left work at 5 with a screaming stomach and a light head. I wanted to eat dinner before the hockey game at 7 so I just figured I would wait until I got home and eat a LARGE meal.
.
Which I managed to whip up in less than 15 minutes. I didn't even change out of my work uniform before eating - I was shaking from lack of snackage! My delicious and carb-filled dinner was two wheat waffles with almond butter, cinnamon and banana. I also had my yogurt that I brought back home from with some Kashi Go Lean.
I like to rip my waffles into fourths and eat them with my hands. This is why I don't top them with the greek yogurt. Because then I would have to use a fork and that's just not as fun.
Three square meals!? Can you even believe it? It's not often I eat meals that are this large, it was quite a struggle getting all this food into my small stomach. Good thing they can stretch. I will admit, I can definitely see the appeal of eating three large meals a day. It makes eating more of an event and meals last a lot longer. However, I'm still a grazer at heart.
.
After my Christmas shopping is over and done with I have my work Christmas party this evening at a local Mexican restaurant - The Rio. Best margaritas around! I plan to have a wild night so check back Sunday sometime for a recap. :)
