San Diego Part 1: Mission and Pacific Beach

San Diego was a blast.  I'm so glad we picked such a beautiful and interesting vacation for our last trip before baby.  Our first stop after checking out the rental house and changing into some warm weather clothes was, of course, the beach.

Our house was located in Mission Beach, about a 40 minute walk away from Pacific Beach.  We walked it once before we figured out the bus system was a better way to go.

Around lunch-time we walked to a little bar in the Pacific Beach area called Bub's Dive.  I don't have any food photos at all but I do have an appetizing picture of the gum post we found.

 Of course, after lunch I had to add my own contribution.

We ended the evening in Old Town for an expensive (and disappointing) dinner at the Cosmopolitan and some fun at the market with hats.  I've never thought I was a hat person but I just might be able to pull it off.  You know, if I were attending the Kentucky Derby or some sort of fancy luncheon somewhere....

Dave, on the other hand, isn't so sure...
